Description
This was a lot of work but I think it turned out well. The duality of this is pretty fun because there are no real changes to the design just the addition of the helmet w/mouth cage and removal of the dragon head. Careful observers will notice statis locked Megatron Generation 1, and the "Key" to Vector Sigma.Enjoy!

I don't know why, but comparing this with your Beast Wars duality of Megatron, there's something very disturbing about the way the faces are in this. Perfectly captures Predacon Megatron's descent into complete and total madness in my opinion starting in Season 3 of Beast Wars. Your first one with S1 and S2's designs showed him more as the arrogant but somewhat level minded Predacon leader with a mission to bring glory to his faction. This version however confirms that, in the end, he's only in this conflict for himself.
While my personal favorite Megatron is from Transformers Prime, Beast Wars/Beast Machines Megatron definitely makes for a close second. Clearly the less redeemable of the two, and far more deranged and power hungry.
All in all, great job!

Truly special when something I draw can spark (No pun intended) thought provoking analysis. Very much appreciated.

I'm liking how one of the biggest changes between the two is his expression.

Yeah it's essentially the same character. Just sans Organic Beast Mode.

Or rather, the changes are mostly internal, and you've captured that with his different expressions.

Thanks. Yeah the expression sells the piece, so I went back and watched some of the episodes and took screen caps and the lot. It was worth it for the outcome.

Good artists use references. The difference shows here. Definitely worth it.

Not a huge fan of Beast Machines & what it did to my fave beast wars characters, but excellent work on Megatron, especially his badass but underused TMII dragon form :3

Thank you. Yeah Beast Machines kind of screwed the pooch on continuity for the characters, but it did have a few redeeming moments.

Epic. I always thought Beast Wars Megatron was the baddest of all the Megatrons, especially in Beast Machines. You have truly made my day.

Yeah, very nice. BM Megs' mode looks good - keeping the world out, as well as holding the beast in. Looks great!

Thanks man. I really loved the way it turned out. The black shading gives it a darker more mysterious aspect that I think was well associated with this stage of the character.
