My favorite female villain next to Astronema and Rita Repulsa, Trakeena was the insectoid/human daughter of Scorpius, and eventually the main villain of the Lost Galaxy season. I really found her story ark at some point more compelling than the rangers, and Trakeena was a highlight of a (IMO) plot cluttered Lost Galaxy Season.Trakeena was portrayed by the gorgeous Amy Miller.

I remember the episode where she went through her metamorphosis into her bug form, where she attacked a bunch of helpless men from the shadows like a hunter. The episode where her creepy bug dad told her about this phase in her life and how much she wanted to remain a human made me feel sorry for her. I never remembered what she looked like in her bug form. As excellent as this was, thanks for the childhood nightmares you brought back from the dead.Β

No kidding. It was a bit creepy. I've always been horrified by insects, even as a kid. Heck, I howled like a coyote in fright today when I surfaced while swimming and a yellow jacket landed on the right lens of my goggles. I would have pissed myself in fright if not for my dehydration.Β

It was like something out of my childhood nightmares. Insects freak me out because of the sounds they make. My autism makes my hearing out of control, and therefore the sounds that insects produce drive me absolutely insane. I can even hear the noise of their exoskeletons from twenty feet away. It makes me want to throw up, incinerate them, puke on their remains, and then douse them in eight tanks of gasoline before dancing around their whole colony.Β

I personally love the whole "Space Opera" feel of Lost Galaxy, it was one of the first seasons i watched and i love it to this day.

I agree. In the end of Lost Galaxy, fans thought that Trakeena was dead after she was blasted by Leo, which almost killed him. However, in Lightspeed Rescue, they finally realised that she survived the ordeal, but was finally defeated by the Rangers while battling her as a monster.

I'm actually rewatching the season again and I just love how manipulative and clever she was when she was trying to become her father's general. She is definitely a far superior villain.

She also garnered some sympathy with me during her time training with Villamax. You think, wait she's learning a code of honor, and she'll fight for herself and not her father and... then she killed Villamax, and I was so disappointed. She had evolved but instead of adopting Villamax's honor code, she ends up just becoming borderline megalomaniac and just flat out deplorable. Classic storytelling.

Totally, but just goes to show that her true intentions are just to have everything turn in her favor and would go to great lengths to achieve her true goal of becoming the ruler that she longed to be and taking down the poer rangers.
