Description i hope this is the first of many postings to come of this type. for those of you familiar with 25 mm fantasy miniatures such as warhammer and d&d, this is a "green" sculpt of a goblin from the rankin bass hobbit cartoon. the "green" is sculpted with a two part epoxy that has the consistency of chewing gum until it sets.
its a very tiny figure for those of you unfamiliar with this type of sculpting with the base being around the size of a nickle.
the top part of the pic is of the multiple parts to allow for casting...arm with axe, main body, and shield. the bottom pic is to show scale (yes i painted the other fig).
ill be having it cast in white metal this week and when i get them back ill post a pic of a painted finished model
ive got a couple more figs ill be posting in a couple of days keep an eye out

I ordered that same miniature from effin cool miniatures. I really don't recall them using shields anywhere in the hobbit movie. Still it looks awesome.

That is incredibly amazing, not to mention accurate - I'm genuinely impressed. I love it! I've always had a "soft spot" for the Rankin/Bass goblins. XD

I absolutely love the unique style of the animated Hobbit from the 70s, especially the goblins. Cool to see someone bring them to life!

no. the warboss on my page is my first sculpt ever and it's just a Vorr figure that i made bulkier and gave custom power claws. hell i've only been painting minis for like 6 months, now. your green sculpt is amazing.

Holy crap! That, good sir, is amazing work. I'd definitely be interested in snagging one or two of these if it was at all possible...and I'd love to see what else you can do with green stuff. You've got some serious skills.

actually i have a bunch of greens almost finished. I'm going to submit them to reaper and if they don't want them at the very least I'm going to cast them myself. When i get them finished I'll post pics.
