Description
A portrait painting I did for someone in acrylics. After studying Jan Vermeer's technique of using under-painting, this is my very first attempt and application of such a style.
Charcoal Line drawing softened by water brush for a general blueprint of details and and tones.
Black and White Acrylic detailed under-painting
Over-layer in colour acrylic
Any critiques and suggestions for improvement are very much welcome and appreciated.

Looks great! The face looks sort of masculine to me though.Β

Hehe, it was rather tricky to do because she had a ponytail, but from theΒ angle I did it, her hair basically looks short.
