Description Last February I visited a place called Bremer Canyon which is located off the South/West coast of Western Australia. I went there specifically to see Killer whale for the first time ever! This female is known as Cookie (WA001). It was a pretty awesome experience and going back again next year

Awesome stuff that you went to the Bremer Canyon! I find the orcas that live there to be very pretty, especially the shape of their head - that bulbous melon and slight overbite. Lovely shot to show that off!

Oh wow! This photo is magnificent. It better be printed and hanging on your wall. No excuses! Lighting is perfect and she is such a pretty girl!
To see wild orcas is a great honour! To get a photo out of it like this, just wow!

Thank you! I've always been unhappy with this photo because I feel like it could have been better but the sea conditions were rough and taking pictures was a challenge. I'm slowly beginning to appreciate it better though haha.

What!? What?! WHAT?
How could you be unhappy with this photo! Is it heavily cropped?

The lighting is so good here, not only can you see the eye (Though it looks like it might be closed) but you can see the definition of the face, particularly around the mouth (I love that mouth ridge) and the rim light around her head. The white skin isn't over exposed, the photo is sharp. The water is beautiful blue. And you get a beautiful girl as your subject to boot, with a cool notch in the dorsal and spot on the eyepatch.  
What more could you want! XD
Wild photography is damn hard! Particularly in rough conditions when you struggle to stand on the boat and keep your camera still. Be proud of this one!

Nah not heavily cropped. I just never am happy with my photos because there is always something I don't like about them
There is always room for improvement. Next year I'm hoping for some even better photos and encounters
I will try to be proud of it
