Next: oracledk.deviantart.com/art/Fa…Yeah fans really hate this series escepially with what happens to Rattrap, Rhinox, Waspinator, and Silver Bolt. But I like it because unlike certain entries in the franchise it knew how to handle it.

I like it and never watched it as a kid, and I think it aged better better then BW. Since the best part of BW was the writing and it was great since day 1, animation wise it didn’t age well

Ok Energon is the worst it’s badly animated, 90% of the plots it introduced is never resolved and ran out of it’s plot halfway and just repeated everything.

Beast Machines is certainly not the worst Transformers show because Energon is the worst. I like this show as well. In fact, I only just watched Beast Machines earlier this year. It certainly has a great plot and an excellent writing quality, which is all I can say for Bayformers and Energon.
Would you believe that people consider Energon to be worse than Bayformers? Right now, I'm not sure what to think! Which do you think is worse?

This comes mostly from the salty Beast Wars fans upset about what this show did. It’s a very dark show and Rhinox turning evil really made fans hate it. Though that last one if you paid close enough attention it’s clear Rhinox programming has been corrupted and wasn’t doing it by choice.
Energon is worst at least the films has great and the plot knows it to drag itself slower than it needs to, as Energon animation was cheap and recycled it plot twice. It also sets up character’s motivation that never get brought up after the episode it was introduce.
Though Energon in Japanese is actually slightly better because they wrote it to be more ridiculous and not trying to be so serious, when the actually quality doesn’t fit it.
The films I can at least shut off my brain for about 2 hours and enjoy the action and CGI. But I hate do that for a series that about 50 episodes.

Beast Wars fans sure are judgemental and picky. I've read YouTube comments about Beast Machines and it proves how overly negative TF fans can be. It certainly doesn't change the fact that it is a very good quality show, unlike Energon.
Speaking of Energon, I watched the whole series just over five years ago. I admittedly got pretty bored with it. The main thing I hated about it was the trashy cel-shaded CGI. Ugh, it was disgusting.
I never seen the original Japanese version, Super Link. I'm sure that is at least a bit better considering how awful the English dub is.
I used to be a fan of the movies, but I lost interest in them a few years ago. The CGI is certainly a million times better than Energon, which isn't saying much.

Yeah Super link they make a lot of jokes and certain scenes make more sense in the Japanese version. Such Q-5 not explicitly made evil unlike the dub where they made him evil to start with, ruining the twist he’s not trying to be evil but resurrect his race.
Also the fusion dance scene is made even more copying the fusion dance from DBZ.

I might watch the Super Link, given that I can find it Japanese with English Subtitles. But I'm not sure if that's even possible.

I can agree. Even the worse of Transformers is better like the live action films. Though I really like the first one. The others are not my cup of tea.

There are so much worse Transformers series, Energon being one of them. A lot of complaints I heard about Beast Machines are those who haven't been paying attention.
Like Cybertron once being organic planet, why Optimus and Megatron are acting the way they are, or Rhinox "choosing to be evil" which he didn't.

Here is what I personally think.
Beast Machines is deep, but a bit nonsensical with character designs that I personally don't like a lot. Also the weapons and abilities are just kind of dull at times. I mean I get it represent peace if they don't use guns, but I felt that they could have done more. What I do like about it is the theme and the concept of how the Transformers learn how to transform without voice code which is a thing and the spiritual side of things. Everything else seems not so Transformers like.
However, there was this one part I hated a lot. There was this scene were Optimus Primal gave these sparks things to the Maximals and the way they use them just seems cheap and stupid. To make matters worse, it makes them vulnerable as they got their sparks taken out. Basically, not only the power looks stupid to see the characters dash in dumb poses with some background, but it exposes their soul for anyone to take out.
As for Energon, I don't really care for it much. Never hated it.

The design is understandable but something people must realize about transformers are the Toys come first before the show. Same was with Beast Wars and other incarnations. Powers are a thing that in every incarnation Beast Wars had some of there own, they all have been dull.
The poses are just something that's no different than all the transformations scenes in other shows.
Energon keeps introducing new plot points and never follow up on. Numerous characters have a revenge against someone from the other factions but they forget about after the initial episode it's introduce.
Reuse Armanda's overall story with Unicron forcing the Autobots and Decepticons working together to stop him, Megatron kills himself to stop him, and adds nothing to it. Megatron constantly switching from Armand's personality vs a complete evil dick (so much the dub says it's because Unicron is mind controlling him.)
Animation was just terrible, reused the same transformations sequences, people just knowing things when the plot demands it, and literally trying to say Unicron is a force of Nature when earlier they said he lives off hate and was just a monster. Plus it had Kicker a character the Autobots brings along despite constantly insulting them, a huge brat that acts like he's better than them and can't boss him around. Even though he lives in their city. The voice acting was stilted and everything moves so slow.

As I said, I like the spiritual side of Beast Machines and the designs does show that well. Just not for some characters like Rattrap.
As for Powers, my problem is not the fact that they have it but rather what they got. Transformers Animated sort of have similar issues. The Decepticons get really awesome guns while the Autobots get the pretty mundane stuff that seems pathetic in comparison. I know these type of weapons are meant to show the peaceful side of the good guys, but I seen it done better in other shows without sacrificing the cool aspect. A big example is Steampunk where it's inferior to our tech, but it still looks awesome. Or element bending vs tech as both sides are awesome.
For Beast Machines, you got Optimus Primal who just blocks blasters and sometimes use a Spirit Bomb. What if you fight someone with no blasters, you are pretty f if you're that unlucky. Then there was this character who just throws sharp feathers. It just looks so boring. Cheetor is probably the most impressive since he got swords and is super fast with it, but it's just a sword.
Compared that to the original Transformers where they not only got blasters, but Prime has an axe. That looks cool.
If you want a peaceful power that looks cool, Steven's shield from Steven Universe. Sure it's just a shield, but what Steven uses it for and how it can be use is way better than just what Optimus Primal has in Beast Machines.
As for the pose, I'm not referring to transformation sequences, I meant the part where started dashing and it looked stupid and not in a funny way like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or the Power Rangers. Just imagine seeing the Flash run and you see a red background and have one long moment of seeing Flash in one pose and then to the next and to the next. At least in Energon or Armada, they move during their transformation sequences.
Again, I never cared for Energon as I never really watched it. And yes, I do not like the animation for the 3D robots at times. I grew up with Cybertron and that is slightly better than Energon.
Also the point of these human characters sadly is to show the relationship between man and machine. Most of the time it's done badly because some of the human characters suck like Kicker here or some of the Michael Bay films. Heck, as a kid, I skipped the human scenes and only watched the robots when I had the DVD.

Kicker is literally voted as one of the worse characters in the entire franchise. If he was an autobots people would still hate him. The plot rewards his terrible behavior and worst of all he somewhat of a servant of Primus himself.
The posing is the equivalent to most series transformation sequences. Just something That's there that annoying that they place so much emphasis on.
Cybertron is a much better show and actually acts more like a successor to a lot of the ideas presented Armanda (despite the fact it was meant to be a standalone series, but the dub made it part of the Unicron trilogy). Energon just kept throwing plot points out there, multiple characters wanting revenge on each other than stop, Unicron battle that was really no different than Armanda, Megatron not being able to decide what he feels for his troops especially to the newly resurrection Starscream (who now a blank slate, though that was a plot point). Characters constantly being killed off and rebuilt or just showing up like nothing happened. Nothing in Energon made any sense.

Those people don't remember how Kicker was living in all Autobots run city and yet was telling them what to do. Interrupted a government meetings and insisted he come along for the action despite not having any combat ability. Or was giving the task of trying to turn Unicron's essence to stabilize a newly created universe.

How about the fact Kicker own voice actor admits he hated doing it, which is sad since he's an actual fan of the series
