Your ordinary day-to-day sunset. Somehow the lamppost in the middle of the view of the sun fits.. don't know whyRelated content

Lovely colours, and you're right about the lamppost - it's a nice element added to your photograph.
Technically speaking, however, it's a little off. One thing: the picture's a bit fuzzy, and that was probably due to camera shake. Try using a tripod next time - it would firstly have stablized your camera, so the fuzziness would have been dropped, and secondly it would have allowed you a smaller aperture - something f8 onwards? - which would mean a more intense sharpness - which would have brought out the lamppost.
Wonderful colours. The gradient of the sky is really striking - colours of sunsets always are, aren't they? *grin* The divide you put in between sky and below-the-horizon-line (er, landscape?) is just right, falling nicely into the rule of thirds. You chose a great moment for the shoot - the clouds are just dispersed and heavy enough to provide impact. The sun's fallen beautifully for your camera - great photo.

^_^ Tripod wouldn't work while taking from a high speed train. I contort my body into a lock whenever I shoot stuff for minimal camera shake.. but still.
p/s the white noise on the left is due to the scanner..
thanks for the comments!
