I've got both series too, only just recently able to get Lick of Frost (I like mine to be the same size books not the large print ones that seem to come out here over a year before the normal sized ones)
Porn?!?!?! Aww hell no, if he thinks they're porn then he's certainly never watched good porn...

LOL!! OMG!!
I'm the same way. But if there's not much difference in height i.e. Artemis Fowl Paper back vs. Artemis Fowl Hard backs, then I'll opt out to get the hard back.
But they had it on sale for 40% off. I had to get it! Lol.
With these ones I read 'em, wait for the pb to come out and buy the pb. I give the hb to my niece who reads the series too. Lol. I'm such a bad aunt, but her friends think I'm cool! Lol.

Well Hard Backs are one thing, but the large print ones are paperbacks, just twice the size...
LOL, now that's a cool idea

Hey it works out for both of us. I get to read my series when they come out and I get to spread the word of LKH, plus I still get my nice and neat collection when the pb comes out.

Though I hope you don't mind, I'm going to make a stamp for Blood Noir, the US Version.
The one you had seems a bit fuzzy...
Sorry!

Go for it!
At the time I was struggling to find a decent cover picture of the book... And I just haven't had the chance to go back and redo it

One question. How do you get the image so sharp and so small at the same time. If I try scaling down it makes the image grainy...

OracleX7 In reply to MacAnimeGirl [2009-02-06 08:02:45 +0000 UTC]
Well... Photoshop is really the only answer I can give, I start off with the largest picture I can find as they tend to shrink down better, make sure they're JPGs as GIFs and PNGs can break up when shrunk...

Does it get better?

SammiWolf In reply to OracleX7 [2008-12-30 00:48:56 +0000 UTC]
Well, I guess so. I can't say for sure. I re-read the entire series. My hatred for Richard was at a very high point when I read that book the second time. xD But, after reading all the others and paying more attention to detail that I might have ignored in the past, I enjoyed Jason more, so it kind of evened things out. :b

OracleX7 In reply to SammiWolf [2008-12-30 01:13:37 +0000 UTC]
Well, Richard is just a twat. He needs to get over himself. Jason on the other hand is such a fun character...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SammiWolf In reply to OracleX7 [2008-12-30 03:12:12 +0000 UTC]
lol Twat. I like it. I'm usually more vulgar when I speak of him. XD
He annoys me. He drags the stories down. I wish there was a way to get rid of him. :/
Jason has been one of the guys I've liked a lot since the start. (Well, since HIS start. lol) He just rubs me the right way. The cheerful lech. XD

It's British, a cuss word as it happens And it is considered vulgar
I know what you mean, he's the one character I feel the books can do without...
LOL, him and Nathaniel are the two I love
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SammiWolf In reply to OracleX7 [2008-12-30 17:36:03 +0000 UTC]
Oh, it's vulgar in America too. Not quite a swear word, but one that would get most kids slapped for using it.
I liked Richard ok at the start. Then he went all emo and the hatred bloomed. His presence drags every story down. Because his presence guarantees the exact same scene being played out again and again. I can do without that happily.
Nathaniel is my favorite character. I adore him. Or, well, I did. The changes... not so much. I liked the soft guy he used to be. Now he's becoming just like all the others... where's the appeal? I was intrigued by his differences. Damien is my favorite out of the vampires however.
Tough choice, but... I think it's the sword. lol Jason however has always been one of the ones I love though. You can count on him to not change like everyone else. :b Or, at least, not to a severe degree.

OracleX7 In reply to SammiWolf [2008-12-31 01:03:05 +0000 UTC]
LOL, and so they should
I didn't really like him from the start, seemed too normal, and then too wrong, and then too nuts...
He's becoming what Anita needs, they all are or will be what Anita needs... I'm rather fond of Willie in a comic relief way, and Damien, Jean-Claude and Asher equally for everything else

SammiWolf In reply to OracleX7 [2008-12-31 01:06:48 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I know that's what they say, but to me, Nathaniel just isn't Nathaniel anymore. He's some new guy. I like the guy he was before. He's still one of my favorites.
I just wish Jean-Claude would get a little more backbone. I think if he forced the issue with Anita, she'd back down. I think she's finally reached that point. Or maybe not.
She's so hard to read. Which is odd because she reminds me so very much of myself. It's kinda creepy. lol
I'm looking forward to the next book. Haven should get some more on stage time. I'm looking forward to seeing his character develope. I'm not sure how I feel about him yet. lol

OracleX7 In reply to SammiWolf [2008-12-31 05:05:35 +0000 UTC]
The old Nathaniel is still there, he peeks out now and then...
JC doesn't need to push the issue, just as he is what Anita needs, Anita is exactly what he needs, her and Richard... They are power for him... Oooh? You raise the dead?
Haven is certainly an interesting character, he's just that bit different to the rest that it should be interesting...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SammiWolf In reply to OracleX7 [2008-12-31 17:52:41 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I raise the dead. Smartass. I'm talking about her attitude and views on love and life in general. Especially her crappy luck in the love department. (Although, let's face it, I'd be glad to have that many sexy men chasing me. lol)
No, what JC needs to push Anita past is the last of her resistance to herself. His life would be so much easier if he did. Hell, so would hers.
