It's not exactly like Metal Slug, it's mainly inspired by it as well as intended to remind players of the series yet remain it's own entity.

SO you couldn't just make a metal-slug fangame? Fans won't complain much if you leave the original characters and just have one of the villans trying to dominate the world with nukes again, then maybe have another villan come in to steal em.

But I wonder.... will you add in Geese Howard as a secret boss? XD

I don't know why you insist that this project will make people mad.
There's a difference between drawing inspiration from something and outright copying it, I fully intend for this to be easily distinguishable from Metal Slug. Being reminiscent is not the same as being identical.
