the Prussian state railway S 8, S 9 were built in 1908. by hanomag they were 4-4-2 Atlantic they are four-cylinder compound engine. really impressive for an Atlantic. 99 (S 9) and 2 (S 8)
that's were our locomotive came into play not exactly s 9 number 561 and 562 were built as 4-4-4 jubilee and were cab-forward this makes them look very ugly and they would stay like this for the rest of their life but with an air smooth casing around them all their tenders this make look okay.
the class would continue on later being reclassified DRG class 14.0 and SNCF type 69.
but the class would be retired in 1926 non of the class survived today they were all scrapped.
