look at this absolute hog of a locomotive it is a beast!
SNCF 4-160 A 1 was a prototype steam locomotive built in 1935 owned by Société nationale des chemins de fer français (I can't read that) or studied by the Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Orléans under the direction of André Chapelon.
the locomotive 2-12-0 and why it looks so long because it is a centipede locomotive what is that?
Centipede is a type of steam locomotive whose axles have the following configuration (front to rear):
1 supporting bissel (1 axle)
6 driving axles
the locomotive written off in 1955 and shortly thereafter was demolished very quickly, in March 1955 at the Châteauroux depot.
although unlike other locomotive I wish this one was preserved because it's so unique and unlike anything and correct me if I'm wrong it is one of the largest steam locomotive built in France.
