In any language, it should be labeled what it actually is, which is a Dhole. It is also called Cuon alpinus ("red dog"), but not a red wolf.

In the Disney Version it always bothered me that Kaa was a bad guy as far as I remember he wasn't in the original.
It's a shame we almost only get American or Japenese animated movies and series here, but we did watch "Nu, pogodi!" as kids, that was awesome. XD
