I like the subject you've chosen to photograph, how about adding a few lighting effects to add a bit mood to it?

ok, firstly, I like the pen, I think it makes a good leading point, I'm not entirely sure why you decided to use my tea cup to do those rings, but they act like a chain a guess between the two pieces of writing which leads me to my final point, I like the positioning of the two.
