Not a good Plot Twist if you ask me.
-First of all, it now doesn't make sense why SpringTrap is trying to kill the player. I mean the old ones were trying to get revenge on whom they thought killed them. It made sense if SpringTrap were Purple Guy because he literally was a Murderer, but Mike was never a Murderer, nor did he want revenge on anyone (he caused his own demise here), so this just makes matters worse.
-It retcons the whole thing of the kids getting their revenge on Purple Guy in FNaF3, and makes it worse.
Yeah, way to screw up your once-great horror game series, Scott! This is about as terrible as that stupid Venom Snake thing in MGSV!

Honestly, I wouldn't say he screwed it up. He just made it a little more confusing then he intended it to be, that's all. I actually kinda like it, it really made me think and reconsider what's going on in this story and this world. If you don't like it, that's fine by me, but I thought it was pretty cool.
