Description
Click download to the top right to actually download the .rar file.Hexed and actually downloadable for your pleasure and Tron/TF2 needs. Means that these don't replace the default TF2 textures and that these read as separate models. Didn't decide to hex the weapons due to the sheer amount I have to do. Just something to start most people off with now, I'll continue hexing most of this stuff into a giant pack if I could.
All 9 classes and able to switch to orange and cyan through the skins menu.
Install by placing the folders into a new/old separate mod folder and edit the usual gameinfo.txt file located in usermod to make the new folder with the Tron classes readable by SFM.
Tron Fortress' class skins is made by
UPDATE:
Properly hexed now, should work now. Interested in the skins that replaces normal weapons or different colors from the classes beside cyan and orange?

just out of curiousity but is that stuff actually illuminated automatically? or was that a case of brilliantly executed lighting?

Now, I've not done anything with gameinfo.txt before, as such I can't get this to work. I mean, it looks obvious when viewing gameinfo.txt; however, it proves otherwise when trying to get them to work in SFM.
All I get is the model's rig and not the texture.
Any way to fix that?
Thanks,
~Kruger

Did you put the models and textures into their own folder and edit it in the gameinfo.txt or did you add them to a existing folder?
I can check again
EDIT:
downloaded them, placed them in a new folder and changed the gameinfo.txt and the textures was showing up, think the only troubleshooting question I have that might be a problem is if you replaced the textures' vmt's with the regular tf2 ones and non-hexed ones or the extraction messed up at one point:
SFM will still read the model and show it's rig but not be able to read or find the associated texture assigned through the vmts and the edited models' mdl files. The textures should be located in "name of new/existing folder"\materials\models\tronhe\
Check the console when you select a model in the model viewer but don't spawn it, should be an error message saying that it can't read or find the texture.

Aye. I did that. My only guess is that I didn't edit the gameinfo.txt right. As I mentioned, it looks self explanatory looking at it; I mimicked off the 'game' entries above it, so when I pointed it to the new folder, it still didn't work.
I can try again. Maybe there was a slight error in something I did which, by the way, is totally possible; I've been modding for a couple years now and I still run into problems sprouting from human error and slight oversight.
EDIT: Tried again and I can honestly say that it doesn't want to work for me.

Understandable, still seems a bit weird if your sfm is finding and reading the folder but only pulling up the models and not their textures as well. Don't know how to replicate your problem since it seems like your doing everything correctly: My gameinfo.txt looks like This and your's look also similar based on mimick. Double check where did the materials folder went to when you extracted it, .

Don't know what I could be doing wrong, so I went and took screenshots (also, this cookie is delicious... Right then!) (Might be a good idea to also pay attention to the paths, as well):
SourceFilmmaker folder: i.imgur.com/luYYyk3.png
New folder containing hex'd stuff: i.imgur.com/w1HqEgl.png
Path to VTFs/VMTs for characters as well as folder: i.imgur.com/1rEaub4.png
Path to models and folder: i.imgur.com/y3uLkwZ.png
My Gameinfo.txt file that's residing in my usermod folder: i.imgur.com/JG7k0hp.png
What I get in SFM: i.imgur.com/URIsaCi.png
SFM Console: i.imgur.com/hWBIOHR.png
There. If that doesn't help you figure out my issue, then I guess I'll have to do all this the old fashioned way, which is a pain in the butt.

That's strange, it's thinking of using the regular player models rather then the hexed ones by the console. Could try putting tron in the gameinfo.txt just above tf and see what happens, think it might just have reverse effect or might just work.

NOPE. Didn't work. Not sure why it doesn't want to work for me.

Clean install and it still doesn't work. Might be the files themselves yet this, "downloaded them, placed them in a new folder and changed the gameinfo.txt and the textures was showing up, think the only troubleshooting question I have that might be a problem is if you replaced the textures' vmt's with the regular tf2 ones and non-hexed ones or the extraction messed up at one point" proves otherwise.
It might very well be an extraction problem, but I've never had 7Zip screw up on me before; though after trying every other option, that looks to be the only explanation (Console even mentions something about checksum). I suppose I can try winrar or something, though.
Edit: NOPE! My guess is somewhere in your files there's an underlying cause as to why it works for you; something somewhere reroutes the paths or something causing it to work, because I've exhausted all options and nothing.

It's not really me to thank, kru6er or kruger and the rest of Grid Industries on Gamebanana is really to thank for the skins, just decided to hex them for anybody to use considering you can only find a older hexed red version of the skins and only just red somewhere on DA.

Whoa...
Now that is a cool concept that I'm surprised hasn't been done before. Then again, a Russian version of the mercs just came out on the workshop.

Sorry about the "slow development".
Ryo's in school and I'm in the Air Force. So our time is taken up by other things. I'm currently on leave, so I'll try and get something out within the 9 or so days I have of Leave.

Ah, so it took 3 years to get the models released. I see.
Still looks really stylistic.
