Description
Well, this was a complete surprise. Decided to do a quick bit of practice with the new art style, and it turned into this.It was quick, it was easy, and damn does it look good.
Anyhoo, I chose TB2 to highlight the announcement of the new Thunderbirds series. While it's doubtful it'll look quite the same in the new show, you can't be this classic.

Always loved TB2 the best. I may be stoned for saying this, but am enjoying TAG2015 and like the updates they've done for TB2 and TB5

I am trying to determine just what is happening here. Is it the landing/takeoff jets, or an explosion below and forward of the ship. Kind of looks bad for the old girl. It's great art and love the classic lines. Great Work!

it's about the Tracy family running an organization called International Rescue, and when ever there is an emergency no matter where it is in the world they're always on the scene, and they use these magnificent rescue machines called the Thunderbirds, which is the name the International Rescue goes by

Do forward-sweeping wings like this exist in real-life, or is it just something cartoonists and scifi artists invented to look cool?

I don't like the redesigns, I prefer this classic look.

I greww up watching the show with my grandfather in the sixties, perhaps if the new show actually makes it off the ground I can do the same with my children.

Yup, confirmed by Gerry Anderson himself. It'll be CGI, and he's in charge of it.
As long as ITV actually place value on it, and don't fudge up how they show it like they did with the CGI Captain Scarlet series, it should be pretty decent.

Oh wow that's amazing! I got super excited for the Thunderbirds announcement. It really needs redemption after the movie.
Would love to see more Thunderbirds art even if I followed you for your excellent Mass Effect art.

You're in luck! I do indeed plan on doing the other vehicles too.
And yeah, I'm really excited for the new series. I may actually give the movie versions of the vehicles a shot too at some point - they're one of the (very) few things I thought it did right.

Dang. I gotta say, the new style is fantastic. Love the details on the ship and the fire, especially.
Can't wait to see this style used on other pictures in the future. =>

None of the other Thunderbirds came close to this one. Royal Marines did a good job on the theme.
