Very cool! I love the detail. it's interesting that you chose Namek as a background, since Bardock saw Goku on namek before dying.

Why not? I like the location and the colors look nice with Bardock and Goku's color palette, and it's the place where we saw a super saiyan for first time, plus is the place where Goku fought Freezer.

I love how Goku is in Super Saiya-jin state but still has his Nyambo Stick! (Ni Ambo?)

I always thought Goku would never throw away his magic stick no matter how strong he gets because it was a gift from his deceased grandpa Gohan... now Goku gives Bardock his appreciated "Nyoi-bō", and Bardock gives Goku his ribbon; I thought it would be a cool gesture...
