I began to think: ''Who would be the most unsuitable character for shipping?'' Though I specifically thought about with Disney characters in mind. I thought about Gaston, but I concluded with judge Claude Frollo.

Not only is he a discriminating religious extremist who has no qualms about taking advantage of his high political status or even killing people he views as sinful, but he's also an old man, which would make most imaginable relationships questionable at best and completely repulsive at worst by modern standards.

The only slightly redeemable quality he has is that he himself acknowledges his lust after Esmeralda is wrong, but it's kind of ruined when his solution to the problem is either force her into a marriage with him or have her executed if she refuses.
