Good afternoon! I'm here from ProjectComment . Firstly I would like to say that this is a beautiful piece! I really love how you created a soft glow in the background which has given the picture a warmth to it. It's clear to me that you spent quite a bit of time on this as there is alot of detail in the bird itsself. I enjoy how you portrayed the reflective surface of its eye (rather realistic)!

With this said, there are some flaws that I would like to adress. I hope that my words are not to harsh, but help you improve moving forward. I would highly recommend you study texture and blending as the way you have blended the feathers doesn't mimic the correct texture of feathers. It looks as if there is paint on the bird and it's slowly draining off of it. This sort of blending may work well for fluid, but it doesn't work for feathers. I also feel that your bird could use some form of definition as far as outlining goes. Putting in some defined lines whether through more detailed shading or linework would really help the bird pop. As for the background, I'm afraid you have too many light sources. It looks as if you were attempting to mimic sunlight shining through treetops, but you have no treetops which would be creating the effect you have right now, not only this but it's not set at the correct angle. If the light were really where you've put it, there would be some sort of foliage directly behind the bird where the light is bursting through...yet the trees behind are far away. In order to fix this i would simply do some outside studies of light. I've linked some tutorials bellow that I feel may help you in the future.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful art with the world!

Nice drawing, but i have something i want you to notice:
one of the "fingers" of the claw looks really distorted, i see what you are trying to do but it just did not came the way you wanted it to came.
The other thing that i noticed is that you put a lot of detail and work on the head of the bird, but when you get to the rest of the plumage you kinda rush (at least that's how it looks like in my eye).
That's my feedback hope i could help in any shape or form.

Wow, it looks almost as real as a photo! However I found that the background looks somewhat blurry, but that may just be DA lowering the quality.Β

thank you! the bg is a bit blurry, i made it that way so that it (hopefully) doesn't distract the viewer from the bird ^^
