Personality: Haughty, cold and derisive, Arcturus takes more after his mother in personality than his amiable, kind father. Arcturus is openly disparaging of those he considers unintelligent, and his barbed tongue has caused many a tear to be shed among fawnlings of all ages. He is a very prickly colt, with none of the softness or pliancy of youth. His mind is sharp and critical and affection is something he will tolerate from his father and occasionally mother but will never himself seek out.

Below his poisonous outer layers, Arcturus does have something resembling a softer side. When honestly complimented by someone he holds in high regard, or shown some sort of unexpected affection, he can be rendered mildly flustered and awkward, often acting more his age when caught off guard than he otherwise would. Arcturus also inherited his mother's singing voice; when he is alone or when he is otherwise more relaxed than usual, it is not unusual to hear him singing to himself. His magic is rather closely tied to his songs -- it's likely more cerebral than based in actual necessity, but singing while doing his magic often makes his spells stronger.

He is also incredibly protective -- almost to the point of possessiveness -- of those he honestly cares for under all his icy layers. It's not really apparent from his actions -- his favour really results in nothing more than slightly duller verbal barbs and perhaps an increased proximity allowance -- but he does have a heart and a wish to keep those he loves close to him.

Appearance: Beautiful and cold, Arcturus is thin and lanky, all sharp edges and long limbs. His eyes are ice blue and flinty, with all the warmth of an arctic tundra. He walks upright and proud and looks down his nose at everyone around him, irrespective of their relative height or station; it's not about titles to him, he honestly couldn't care less. Everyone else is simply beneath him and he knows it. His mane and tail are thick and fall in loose waves. His fur is soft and short, but where it grows longer (around his chest, ears and rump) it crimps into tighter curls.

History: Was born. Was not quite as cuddly as daddy might have hoped, but daddy loves him anyway. Met an odd little slave filly at the market one day while out with his father; and the rest is history.
