Description ...I'm not quite sure what to say!

Playing with online art prompt generators sometimes helps when you want to draw but you aren't sure what to do. This came from two such generators, one which mixed up and gave a random dragon description, and the other which gave a vague description of a sword. I combined the two, changed a few things, and here we go.

The blade itself is a flambard, or flame-sword. The signature wavy edge on these blades is mostly decorative, though it does have its uses. As I understand it, parrying with one of these can cause some nasty vibrations to travel up the opponent's blade and arm, plus it tends to cause a great deal of friction against the sword as it does so.
(For the record, all the sword-generator said was "an unusually-shaped blade with a bronze hue and jade pieces in the pommel." I figure a flambard is unusual enough.)

The dragon...it sort of comes with the sword. It is a guardian of both sword and the sword's intended weilder. Though small, it is quite intelligent, and a fierce protector.

On another note entirely, what is it with me and darkly shaded artwork? I seem incapable of painting something filled with light, I swear sometimes...

SHINY REFLECTIONS. THINGS OF AN EPIC NATURE.

Like off scales and metal and stuff like that. Or water.

I shall have you know that the moment I envisioned pretty reflections off of scales and water and such I thought of a dragon or a kirin standing over a pretty pond...and the background was dark.

Dark, with the glowy reflections a pretty vibrant blue.

And there would probably be some sort of glowy flowers around or something.

But it's definitely dark.

What? It makes the shinies show up better! You have a glowstick in a sunny room, and nobody notices it. You have a glowstick in a dark room, and BOOM! Instant awesome.

You have a DARK SHINY in the middle of a SHINY. THERE. CONTRAST.

There is no such thing as a Dark Shiny!
...okay, there's the black materia, but even that would be swallowed by the shiny around it! We notice warm brights well before darks!
