Description I stuffed him in chainmail. I put him on a horse. I even managed a few little pieces of armor here and there. And yet I couldn't get rid of those sunglasses. They are Dave. There is no Dave without the glasses, I swear.

Also, only Dave could raise a sword in a rousing salute on a rearing horse with dramatic lighting streaming in behind him and maintain such a deadpan expression. I mean, he's just... :l with invisible eyes.

This was a full day project. I'm not sure I ever want to draw chainmail again, at least not without first studying the hell out of it. How do those links fit together?!

That said, enjoy, and check out my other artwork! I've got fanart, original art, scribbly art, prints available on dA, and I'm considering commissions (feel free to PM me any time to discuss this if you're curious or interested).

Can't remember what we gave Eridan. Possibly Poseidon, going with the obvious, but then that wouldn't make sense because Feferi is also Poseidon and Eridan's in love with her.

I like the idea of Dave and Karkat as half-brothers. That would be hilarious.

That's true, after all there are lots and lots of dream bubbles. Thing is, Hussie never does anything without a reason or meaning, and if he does he usually marks it with a "THIS IS STUPID." I'm getting tired of this hiatus, but at least now with this last flash, I believe this is the beginning of the "Pause 3" that Hussie mentioned on his tumblr when he first announced the hiatus. Apparently the previous pauses were for making the animation, but this pause is to catch up on house work and general living things that he put off while making the comic.

In this class, since we're on the quarter system, we didn't even read entire works. We only read snippets from longer works like Othello, The Faerie Queene, and Canterbury Tales.

True, the fishiness must be accounted for. Or maybe not, since I can't recall Eridan ever actually going underwater or anything, though my memory's a bit fuzzy there to be honest. Oh well.

Oh, the antics to be had in Ares cabin! With Karkat being all uptight and Dave chilling as usual...

Trying to place Terezi in my head now. Sadly, I think it was the Romans who had the blindfolded Justice goddess-figure, not the Greeks. This is somewhat unfortunate.

Hussie has said that pause three will last about three weeks. It's on the MSPA page and everything. And that's just....NOOOOOOO but I know it's necessary.

Yeah, I don't doubt that the bubble thing will have many repercussions. I'm already sort of wondering if he didn't use it to ascend to God tier for one thing. He also seems to have...broken paradox space? Whatever happened with that glass-cracking pattern, it's gonna be big.

There would probably be a very bizarre competition for who gets to be counselor of the Ares cabin; Karkat is doing everything he can to earn the position, while Dave pretty much doesn't care but the other Ares campers look to him for leadershipanyway, and in the end the two of them grudgingly share the position (grudgingly because Karkat doesn't want to share and Dave could not give less of a damn).

We decided on Nemesis for Terezi, since she's pretty into justice.

Dude, he prototyped his sun. Who even knows what this guy is capable of? On the bright side, it seems Jack and PM may very well be teaming up pretty soon.

Oh, crossover headcanon right there! I can see it. I can so see it happening.

That works with me.

And I don't know if it's just got something to do with the breath aspect or what, but I sorta see both Tavros and John in the Hermes group. And possibly Jake, given his love for adventure and, thereby I assume, travel.

I don't even know if I can guess at what was up with his sprite right there. That did not look like normal sprite behavior. Unless Calmasis was using some type of freakishly powerful magic to turn his sprite into a black hole and then fling everything into it, I just...I don't know.

Yeah, those expressions! "Wow. Um. Looks like our fight's over. Or postponed. Or something. 'Cause this looks bad. So. You up for a tag team?"

I love pretty much all Karkat-Dave interaction. I don't necessarily ship them, I just like when they get stuck in the same room and then bounce off of each other.

I was thinking Aeolus for John, seeing as he's the god of wind and all. I can't remember who we picked for Tavros, though. Wait, no, that's right, we decided he'd be a satyr.

Who even knows. I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

I loved their expressions. I think that's the first time that Jack has ever looked honestly disturbed for reasons not involving Jade.

Their personalities just clash so much, yet it's like they can't avoid the arguments. I find it hilarious.

That works...though aw, Tavros, can't even be a demigod.

Second time. He looked pretty shocked when PM showed up in the first place, if I recall correctly.

Sometimes I wonder if they wouldn't make for a healthy kismesissitude. Certainly healthier than Karkat <3< himself, anyhow.

Least he's not a faun. Those guys are useless.

Oh yeah, forgot about that.

Healthy for Karkat, perhaps. There's some doubt in me that Dave would be interested, though; in his eyes, the black physical squabbling is a simple platonic tussle.

True. And there is that connection to Pan and nature to help him along.

That was a pretty cool suplex, and the penis ouija preceding it was good for a chuckle.

And if he dies he turns into a plant, and that's pretty cool.

Karkat is a cape magnet. He can't help the tangling, and Dave apparently likes his cape enough to dislike somebody messing with it. XD

I think he'd prefer to be an animal, though I could be wrong there given that this is an assumption not based on much except his mental affinity with various beasties.

I am also amused by the fact that if Karkat were to go god tier somehow, he would be dressed like Dave. And would probably blow a fuse.

Ooh, maybe the wheelchair would be a way to hide his goat legs, like how Grover goes around on crutches.

His cape would trip him up. All the time. Like it had a mind of its own, wrapping around his legs all at the wrong moment while he walked and twisting around his arms as they flailed and everything. And all the while Dave is gliding by with a perfectly behaved cape behind him and giving him these slightly-incredulous-but-mostly-blank looks.

This is my ridiculous head-not-quite-canon.

That is somehow gorgeous. I think it's because it combines the wheelchair aspect with a hidden ability to spring free of those confines and be as nimble as he needs to be...

That is a beautiful headcanon.

I think if Gamzee wasn't a demigod, he would be a satyr, too. He has the goat motif, the habit of eating things he shouldn't eat, that sort of thing... he could be a Morpheus camper, too, come to think of it, since he has the ability to give people nightmares.

I'm glad you approve of it.

Interesting thoughts! It's sort of hard to decide which one I like best...

...Dionysus. I think I still like Gamzee being the son of drunken/high revelry and madness best of all. Morpheus campers tend to snooze a lot, and as loopy as a high Gamzee is, he was at least nominally awake most of the time.

I need to make a list of this stuff and share it with my sister.

Heh. I'm still not sure how we got into Oliver and Companystuck, but it may have something to do with me imagining Dave skateboarding down the sidewalk singing "WHY SHOULD I WOR-RY? WHY SHOULD I CA-A-A-ARE?" while John chases him on the pogo ghost ride.

I'm not familiar with Oliver and Company, but that is a great mental image all the same.

[link] It's Disney's take on Oliver Twist, except they're all stray animals in New York and the Artful Dodger is a mutt dog voiced by Billy Joel.

Oh, I know what it is, I've just never really seen it beyond still pictures and I think I remember a clip with a dog stealing sausages and another with a stuck-up poodle character.

A stuck-up poodle character voiced by Bette Midler, yes. (She was totally Vriska in our crossover.)
