Calling it now.If "Seer" is not a gender-specific, female-only class, then I would peg the Pre-Scratch Signless as being it. It'd make some level of sense, given his post-scratch self's dreams of the past, possibly due to his unique blood (so Doc Scratch postulated at least)...and I kinda like the idea of the hood which can hide his eyes, even though he wouldn't have seen any particular need for it during the game since they likely didn't have anything against his odd blood color.

I am so fucking glad that I'm not the only one that sees him as a seer. If he's not then I'm going to be very disappointed

Now that's organization!
Yeah, updating would be nice, particularly along the bottom. Though it's a bit funny, because I can sort of roughly guess when you made/last updated this by the notation that UU is named "Calmasis" and is a "Troll." XD
Boy, Hussie got us all good with THAT little turnaround.

I agree that he would be the Seer Of Blood. Makes more sense than any of the other classes. But if the Seer is gender-specific I'd think he could be the Heir of Blood.
Anyway, this looks amazing! Love the wings.

Someone else thinks Signless would be the Seer of Blood!
I had this idea for a while, too, but I couldn't find any pictures.

Yay - I'm not alone!
It's probably not a very common prediction/idea, especially given the fact that both the Seers we know of are female.

Yeah.
I mean, I can understand the Seer thing with Signless because of the visions he had (I roleplay him, that's why I'm so excited). I first thought of Seer of Hope, but when Aranea and Meenah came out as their descendants' aspects, I knew that Signless would be the same as Karkat.

I never really formulated any guesses until this one - and this only came after we got Aranea as a Sylph of Light. I needed that formula, I guess - same aspect, different class - before I could really take a leap.
Seer of Hope, though - that would make some sense, if the aspects could be different. I like it.
All this makes me really wonder who the Bard was in that first session, though...

I don't know, but... I was literally just squealing my ass off when I saw the silhouettes of the Post-Scratch ancestors.
The only accurate class for Signless (or Castus/Leslie/Mufasa/Garnet/Cancer as I call him) would be Seer. I would be surprised if he wasn't that class.
What if Darkleer was the Bard? Or Dorkscar? I could see one of those being a Bard. Since I don't think GHB could be it due to Gamzee being it already.

I was quite excited as well, figuring out which one was which. I must say that the Psiionic's hairstyle looks like it promises to be rather on the ridiculous side, though...
Castus is, I think, the best name out of that lot. Can't wait to see what Hussie decides to call him, though I fear I may be in for a very long wait after all, given all the "Whats-his-face Karkat" references. >.<
I'm pretty sure Bard was specified as male-only. GHB, as you said, shouldn't be the Bard, and it's likely not Whats-his-face either. Of course, that does leave every single other male as a possibility, given how relatively little we know of their actual personalities and roles in the game. We could have a Bard of Hope, of Doom, of Breath, or of Void.
Though I think, to some extent at least, that it'd be neat to see the Summoner as the Knight of Breath, paralleling Tavros as the Page and fitting well with his Lancekind weapon.

Yeah. I really can't wait for the images to arrive!
I chose Castus (kas-'toos) because of its meaning in Latin: "chaste, innocent, stainless, clean, pure, self-forgetful, godly, pious, holy, grammatical, and well-formed". I was just looking up words that were 6 letters and...there it was!
It would be hilarious to see the Bard of Hope, and Dualscar not really enjoying the codpiece. Same with Psiioniic and the others. But it would be even MORE hilarious if it was Darkleer.
I found this picture of Post-Scratch Psiioniic... It was like... He had a visor over his eyes like that guy from Star Trek, but it was red fading into blue. Looked interesting.

Images, names, personalities...I want the whole bundle! Hussie does like to leave us hanging, though, so it'll be quite a long while before we see any of it.
It's a good name indeed. His real name had better be at least as good as your fan-chosen name, else I'll feel cheated.
That codpiece creeped me out a bit once it was pointed out in some comments I was reading on another Homestuck artwork (I hadn't noticed it myself). I would not wish it on any character, personally, even Dualscar. XP
I don't watch Star Trek, but I'm envisioning a simple, continuous visor anyhow. A gradiant...interesting indeed.

(Oh, and I decided to cosplay the design.)
I wonder how you can offer up names to Hussie. It would be awesome if I gave him Castus and he made it happen.
I've actually thought about the interactions between Dead!Pre-Scratch Signless and the others would have been. Would he be angry at Meenah (and possibly her kismesis)? Would he have not known about his fate in the Post-Scratch Alternia? I have so many ideas, though I doubt Hussie will give in to them. XD
I really hope that Psi gets the visor. It would be awesome.

(Which design? We've been discussing a couple now. XD)
I know that way back when he still allowed readers to make suggestions, he picked our current trolls' names from those lists...and according to the Wiki site, the pre-scratch trolls (Aranea, Meenah) have also had names taken from those lists as well, Aranea being a suggestion for Vriska's name and Meenah for Feferi's. So unless you found that way or Castus had been suggested way back when...
I have little enough doubt that their relationships and interactions were all scrambled about from what we might expect anyhow, given the personality differences we've seen just in the two trolls who have been revealed. And if he was a Seer, then there's no telling what he might have known ahead of time. He certainly would have learned of it in the dream bubbles afterwards, at any rate.

I, honestly, am too scared to post on the forums... It sounds idiotic, but I don't know. a;slkdjf
Well, I've had this thought that (since Meenah called him 'whatshisface Vantas') he would possibly be alone in a dream bubble wondering where everyone was. But that's my assumption. I also had this thought that he could be a fully-realized Seer, but his wings were ripped off.
...I'm such a mean person.

Aw, poor thing! Yeah, he could be alone indeed, and as for the wings...ouch. Or perhaps, due to the whole mutant blood practically-human thing, he and Karkat don't get wings?
Though I do have to say that the fact that Aranea was apparently fully realized herself yet her Scratched self never got wings does raise some questions about the Summoner. I remember it being hypothesized that the Summoner pupated wings due to his game session's realization. That hypothesis seems pretty well shot out of the water, unless there was some additional difference. Who knows?

EveHilson In reply to Oreramar [2012-08-26 08:13:05 +0000 UTC]
Well, from what I saw of Summoner, Eridan, and Vriska... Their wings would resemble something of them. Summoner's horns, Eridan's horns and sign, and Vriska's 8 eyes. So the thought of the Cancer wings would be interesting. I do like the thought of them LOOKING like cancer cells under a microscope.
I would love more pictures of Pre-Scratch Signless. Mostly because I have a roleplay account on facebook for him, and I love your art so much.

But... Hm... God Tier duo? Or the cracky idea with the whole Vantas family (Pre-Scratch Karkat and Kankri and Post-Scratch Kankri and Karkat).
I've been saying "Kan-kree" rather than "Kahn-kree." But it's a nice name.
I'm just so glad that we called the god tier.

I'll wait on the "family" thing until we learn a bit about prescratch Karkat, but the God Tier Duo, complete with a little conflict over Karkat's use of weaponry and tendencies toward violence...and hey, Karkat's got to reach a saturation point sometime. The "SHUT UP" explosion is coming.
I've been experimenting with both. XD Right now, though, I'm sort of leaning toward Kahn-kree, probably because I just love that particular pronunciation of "a" so much. The name is still going to take some getting used to on my part, though. It's such a nice feeling.

I'm actually thinking Pre-Scratch Karkat would be a Threshecutioner (it makes sense, seeing as how Kankri is a long-winded character and turned out to be a preacher in the next life). Karkat wanted to be one on Alternia. Maybe he was one on Beforus?
Such a serious discussion this is. XD
Oh, with actually looking up name meanings for Mituna, I found out that it wasn't a fishpun. Mituna came from the male name "Mithuna," which, in turn, means "Gemini." I believe Hussie just shortened it for 6-letters.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Oreramar In reply to EveHilson [2012-09-05 14:38:21 +0000 UTC]
But would there actually be a job like "Threshecutioner" on a peaceful Beforus? Most of those lines of work sound rather bloody and even militaristic, suitable for the violent culture of Alternia but somewhat questionable in a peaceful regime.
That's really cool, actually. Won't stop people from making the fish puns, of course, but it's great to know where some of these names come from.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
EveHilson In reply to Oreramar [2012-09-09 23:00:03 +0000 UTC]
Well, you never know. A friend of mine had this idea of how Beforus and Alternia are different in the means of "culling." We all know that, on Alternia, mutants were to be killed. But she had a thought that, since Beforus was a kinder place, the mutants were adopted by higher bloods and coddled. They were treated like the "retards" of the society. This makes perfect sense, actually. Kankri wanted to prove himself to others, that's how he speaks the way he does. Usually, when a mutant speaks, the reply is, "Oh, that's nice. The adults are talking. Go run along and play, dear."
But you never know about the Threshecutioners... I mean, maybe it was to protect the planet? How are they to protect themselves if there was no military? What are your thoughts on Pre-Scratch Karkat, then? A match-maker? ...You know? That actually sounds plausible.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Oreramar In reply to EveHilson [2012-09-10 00:49:10 +0000 UTC]
I guess it sort of depends on whether the Beforus-Alternia dichotomy is best described as Defensive-Offensive or Passive-Aggressive. If it's the former, then perhaps there were militaristic orders of some sort or description, all dedicated to keeping peace and whatnot. If it's closer to the latter, though, B-Karkat might well have been something else entirely. Match-maker/Quadrants-Guru? Heck, it's funny enough a thought that I'll go with it.
Interesting...I wonder if Kankri managed to avoid culling, then, or if he wasn't as successful as Karkat in that sense. That could be an interesting parallel of sorts, if both Karkats avoided their world's version of "culling" but both Kankris were (eventually) caught up with. So B-Karkat managed to maintain a place in his peaceful society without being taken in and coddled for his blood, just as A-Karkat kept his blood from getting him killed...whereas B-Kankri did wind up coddled by some highblood or other, just as A-Kankri died a horrible death (despite reaching adulthood first) because he was a mutant stirring the pot.
In that event, I wonder who would have, hypothetically, taken Kankri in. Kanaya, thus keeping the Jadeblood mother figure? Or, heck, let's go the whole distance and say Feferi, just to add another level of irony to the many relationships between the tyrian empresses and the KKs. XD

Wow, I'm so late with my reply...
But, from what you are saying, I do have to admit that my assumption was a bit...silly? I was looking up words to use for another 8-lettered title for Pre-Scratch Karkat. Advocate, Emissary, Guidance, Mediator... Those are the ones I'm down to. It's fairly difficult deciding. (Btw, KarFef should be canon in the Pre-Scratch world.)
...Here's another interesting thought.
What about Imperial Drones? Would they have the same 'take no shit' attitude? Or would they be like sex therapists? So many ideas. I'm just wondering about the Drones because I have a Drone oc.
