I had fun. :3
Toned tan sketch paper, a bright orange fine-tip sharpie (and black for some bits), and some colored pencils - mostly from a pack of neon colors I got for Christmas.
Originally there was going to be a lot more perspective going on. Sadly, that plan failed, mostly because I can never make a human figure look right in worms-eye view. So if you're wondering why the sprite tail part looks particularly bulbous...that's pretty much it. :/

He's Davesprite, a Homestuck character. He used to be Dave Strider from a doomed offshoot timeline; he traveled back in time, warned his past self not to allow the event that doomed his timeline in the first place, and then prototyped himself into Dave's sprite, thus giving his past self a better sprite/guide than he himself had. The wings, feathers, and sword (it's part of him, so he's fine, don't worry
