Did you cast this yourself? If so, how exactly did you do it? It looks so clean and free of problems. If you don't mind, could you give a detailed process? Students at my school seem to have a hard time getting a good cast. I usually get a great cast, but I have resorted to using metal that has been overused already, as I am strapped for cash, and I get problems with my castings now. I know that I should be using new metal all the time, but is there a way to get a great cast with old metal?

Casting is realy a question of experience, in my case 30 years I use the centrifugation method. You can read about it. The vaccum method is also good, but I prefer the centrifugation because the cristaline structure of the metal is more densely. Old metal must be clean with chemicals in a melting process. Rio Grande has certainly products for this. Wish you good work
