Col d'ÉviresThe Col d'Évires is a pass in France located in Haute-Savoie, on the border of Faucigny and Genevois, to the northwest of the Bornes massif, between Annecy to the southwest and the Arve valley, notably La Roche-sur-Foron, to the northeast. At 803 meters above sea level, it constitutes the low point of a threshold separating the Bornes massif in the south-east from the Bornes and Salève plateau in the north-west. A privileged transit route, it is crossed by the departmental road 1203, the A410 motorway and the railway line from Aix-les-Bains to Annemasse via the Bornes tunnel. The pass takes its name from the village of Évires located to the southwest although it is located in the commune of Etaux which is located to the northeast.
