Thank you! There are numerous documentaries showing the damage caused by sand expoitation around the world.
I saw one on our public TV station that showed large barges dredging sand offshore causing beaches to colapse into the sea with mass erosion along the coast.
In India the "sand mafia" has been in the headlines for trying to kill off the local people and journalists getting in its way.
I have also noticed that you have to read news from different countries in order to see what's really going on in the world.
For example US google news is not the same that you see in French, British or Swiss google news.
