Description
A block from the rock slide of the Mont Granier dating back to 1248 where over 5000 people died and creating one of the biggest limestone cliffs in the French Alps (700m vertical). Now this area is a major wine producer in Savoy. You can see the traces of a recent land slide near the summit. A big scare but nobody died this time.

Many of those texts were written by a group of English monks on their way to Rome at that time.

Are they available to the public for research or simply to admire? The manuscripts, not the rock!

Le nombre de victimes a souvent été estimé à plus ou moins 5 000 personnes, reprenant les estimations des textes médiévaux.
