I used to play FFXI like I would die if I stopped, and I go back to it every few months or so. But what I don't understand is why Square never ever EVER bothered to upgrade the graphics at all. EVER. I have a quad-core computer with 3 gigs of ram and an 8600 GT overclocked, and cable internet, and I get like 6fps in that game. I could stand the 821379423784-hour wait for a party in Whitegate or Jeuno if the game didn't look like a slideshow.
