Description
One of the structures I build at the _top of my towers_, connected by catwalks to faraway points. This one houses my black pegasus herd. ^_^Related content

Very cool. ^_^ I like them. It keeps the monsters in my face to a minimum & I can build to my hearts content without destroying so much of my world's natural beauty.

im now used to waking up to creepers staring in at me through my glass windows while i cook my morning bacon...
i once offered one a sclice. . . unbelieveably he walked away ._.!!
and came back the next day. . .
except this time he blew up. . .
i guess it was because i didn't give him some bacon

Those things can be scary. They tend to want to appear next to me when I go to bed. :/ Damn things.

a trick to keep your bed save from momsters is to follow a few simple steps=
step 1 = put it upstairs! monsters can't spawn in a lit room on the top floor!
step 2= place it away from the walls! for whatever reason, when you place it nearby walls monsters get in...
step 3= CLOSE THE D@MN DOOR!!! seems simple enough..
step 4= keep your sword out when you go to sleep! so if your woken by an unwanted visator you can deal with him quickly!
and finally, step 5= KEEP THE FRIGGN' LIGHTS ON!!! ._.!!!! may be the most important!!!
lol. . . i know from trial and error. . .

Hmmm... wall thing may be getting me... same thing with the upstairs. I've had quite a few bed areas that were either at ground level or below. I've wondered if using a lot of glass in a structure may increase the chances of mobs spawning next to you when you bed down. As for keeping things well lit, I think that's pretty much become my motto. I also tend to sleep with my wolves nearby as they've saved me on several occasions.

well, it dosn't matter what level the bed is at, infact i've found that sleeping inside a lit up-already explored cave is sometimes safer than sleeping in a house above ground.
the material dosn't matter, but if its all glass you'll wake up to a nice little visitor outside the window...
and the wolfs are awesome, i've been saved by them a few times myself ^^

did you use indev edit or scavenge for it?

I used inv edit later on, once I learned how. Did plenty of scavenging early on. That cat walk in the sky is expansive. I doubt I could find that much glowstone in the game. It goes on for like a hundred miles or so, & I placed those blocks by hand. Makes me think I really should learn to use the world editors.

I was so pleased with my work I kind of got into a rhythm after a while & the time flew. At first it was REALLY tedious.
