Description
This is a photo of me taken by me, as you can probably tell. I wrote on my hand, all the stereotypes or labels people tend to give others. Not all were bad i.e. slut, whipped, etc. But most were hurtful in some way.I wrote these words, and took a picture of it as sort of a protest. A protest against bullies. It's symbolic. I raised my hand, the hand with all those nasty, hurtful words that are used to bully. I raised my hand to say, I will not bully.
I know that I have called my self a dork, nerd, and a geek. But I know that when I get called a dork so many times, I break down. So I ask you this. How many words will it take to ruin a life? The true is, it just takes one word, one person, one bully to change a life. Whether it's the kid down the street that commits suicide quietly, or the kid in your class who shoots everyone before finally shooting themselves. People wonder why kids bring guns to school, and those people should feel quilty. Because the people injured in the Virgina Tech shootings, or any other school shooting, were injured because of maybe just one word that pushed that kid over the edge.
So raise your hand, stop bullies.
