Two words: Dem legs.EDIT: Know that, it's my imo (no one really knows how tall are they in the game) so no worries here. For example, Zera's Daniel is 5'7''.
So, I decided to make a height chart for some characters from Amnesia. Just for kicks I included Elise. To those, who's unfamiliar - Elise is the girl, Daniel had murdered in the storage. Or so it seems - it hasn't been confirmed. Just read the "Remember" short stories and you'll understand.
Also, I always thought that Alexander is a tad (around 2 inches) higher than Daniel. I dunno why. xD Elise is based off the illustration of the said story - 'Waiting for the Rain'
Okay, hope you enjoy this. May do a second one, with Agrippa, Weyer and the others. Maybe Penumbra characters too.

Mhm, I was gussing it was slightly modernized because of Elise.
Because Amnesia took place in Victorian times, a girl could never dress like that and be decent.
The dress may seem pretty in our time, but back then it was more revealing then underwear. Co:

There was an illustration in the 'Remember' stories of Elise, in which she wear a light blue dress. It shows only half of her body, so I don't know the length of her dress. xD

You should study the Victorian period. (1800's)
