Description
I know, I was hoping to get the latest SOe calendar out BEFORE the first of the month, but for reasons mentioned in my journal and others, I got stalled. So I decided to give you all a quick preview of the charecter I'll be using in it, as one as a hint of a comic cover to come, by showing you the revamped SOE Darkhawk.Going into this comic cover, I decided to do something of a revamp of the original Darkhawk design by combining it with elements from the Evangelions. Since Kyoko was one of the people who helped design the Evas, and in SOE: Soul's Haven, was one of the designers for the Darkhawks, this made sense. Plus, I think the modified design makes it look much better.
Now, there is another reason why the calendar piece for this month has been stalled; since we never do get to see Kyoko's face in Eva, I was forced to take some liberties with a version of her from the manga, which took longer than I thought.
Oh, well. I just hope I can get it done fairly soon. But in the meantime, please, let me know what you all think of the redesign I did here.

Actually, we do get to see Kyoko's face in the anime, but it's a "blink and you'll miss it" moment. Here it is . I'll try and dig up a bigger copy latter, but that should do it for now.
Armor looks pretty cool. Never read the story it's from though, I was put off by the fact that I had no idea what it was crossing over with. However, considering just how much I loved Mike313's twoshot casting Kyoko as Strange Visitor (another heroine I didn't recognize), maybe I should give Kyoko as Darkhawk a shot.

Yeah, I know about that, but it goes by so quick and is of such poor quality, lacing even any color, that it real doesnt make for a good reference. So ultimately I decided to go with art of Kyoko from the manga.
Anyway, I hope you give Darkhawk a try. He's one of the average guy characters who pretty much falls into the hero business. Which reminds me, I still have some seroius overhauling to do on a lot of my stories...

I . . . see. Well, could you at least give her short hair? It's pretty big difference that sets anime!Kyoko apart from the manga versions of her, and serves as a pretty good way to differentiate her from Asuka. (Whereas the manga versions of Kyoko all look like older clones of her daughter.)

I was talking about your fanfic, to be honest. I don't have nearly enough money to go out and buy comic books. (And considering some of the stuff that's been going down at Marvel and DC I'm not sure I really want to.)
Which reminds me, I still have some seroius overhauling to do on a lot of my stories...
Yeah, from the author's notes the fics of yours I have read it seems like you have/had a serious hate-on going for Kaji and Asuka. That's not a good emotion for any writer to feel about the characters he or she writes about, as it almost always produces unsatisfactory results.

Well... Ms Sohyu's combat body looks very damn badass, that's for sure.

Thank you. That's what I was hoping for.
