"Lady Necro," Amber managed to say before she was blown off her feet by an unseen force. Amber found herself pinned helplessly to the ground, staring into the eyes of death itself, like a mouse before a snake.

"Who are you, insolent worm?" the woman rasped in a monotone voice, and raised her hand out over Amber.

"I am Amber Cypress, a lowly mortal who desires your power," Amber said, still compressed to the ground.

"My power?" Lady Necro repeated, as a black mist suddenly flowed out from her hand and around Amber. The color seemed to drain from her skin as the mist engulfed her.

"Yes, I heard you could grant one the gift of immortality and infinite youth," Amber said. The black mist suddenly dissipated from around Amber.

"What do you want my power for?" Lady Necro asked.

"Lady Necro, I am old, frail, and weak," Amber replied, motioning to her wrinkled face. "I wish only to retain my youth and strength to kill the woman who did this to me." she added revealing her arm which was horribly twisted.
