Our masks are completely handmade creations, made of leather, processed and pigmented by hand in the Oroboro laboratory. They are inspired by the ancient apotropaic masks (from the Greek apotrépein remove) a term that is usually attributed to an object or person able to prevent, remove or cancel malignant influences. We speak in the popular tradition of apotropaic jewelry, rite or apotropaic gesture and certainly of masks or figures
with this particular peculiarity. To be able to remove the bad luck, the masks had to be monstrous, able to scare away evil spirits and keep them away
from the house. The figure of the Green Man and the Green Lady, of the Anglo-Saxon tradition, are ancient apotropaic
figures, rural creatures that represent the primordial force of nature, whose horns and points have a defensive
function of the house, if placed inside the house or on the threshold and if weared, recall the primordial energy o
f nature and its life force ,creating a protective aura on the person. It is said to be good to avoid entering
the house who is annoyed by these masks, who avoids their gaze or stares at them with a dazed expression
