Description
Wow, started this one (what feels like) forever ago. It stumped me for awhile, but lo and behold, I come back and inspiration starts to tango with me. Fickle lady that she is, she ditched me right after I finished. (stares wistfully at the dancefloor)This one was lots of fun, and is inspired by the one and only Cthulhu but turned into a more squid-like creature by the end.
Thanks for looking, as always! <3 <3 <3
Mask is made of 8 oz leather, and is both hand shaped and painted.

I'm not the first to point it out, but it bears repeating: those barnacles look marvelous! It seems with each mask I see you do, you find more ways to top yourself. Please keep up the good work!

Ho-lee-crap. DEM BARNACLES. That is a fantastic effect, especially for an experiment!

Lol, the barnacles make the mask for me. It wasn't tough to get a squid-like shape (cutting was a pain, I will say in hindsight), but it just WASN'T. ENOUGH. You can't be a malevolent sea-god without barnacles, you know? I mean they're just part of the deal! XD

There's really no other word to describe them. Seriously, I've looked.

Kind of you to say! It was an odd mix of clay and glue. I started out not exactly sure how I wanted it to look when finished, so it was kind of touch-and-go for awhile as I figured it out.
