they look at the s a m e stars
but never in the same place?

you know those tragic poems where
they look at the s a m e stars
but never with the same feelings?

someday is not a day in the week
nor an extension to autumns
but i'd like to believe-

someday we'll be looking at the s a m e stars
not the ones in the sky
but the ones scattered in your eyes

with my hand intertwined with yours
and a smile synonymous to mine
and we'll have the s a m e thoughts
burning at the back of our minds

it feels like meeting a stranger
you've known your whole life.
