So, my mom forced me to design/draw this year's holiday card we're sending out. My idea was to represent the relaxation and the calming, cooling effect of winter. Everyone loves a cupp'a hot cocoa during the winter times, so I decided to work the drawing around that. The focus point is the mug, which is why it's bright red whist the rest of the picture is grey, blue, and brown. ^^ I hoped it worked, yes? : D
I'm very proud of this one, since I spent so friggen long on it. The picture you see on your screen is only 25% of the size I worked at. >w< There's no spectacular detail though, plus I didn't even outline the lineart. XD I hate lining art, I just figure it's good enough after a little clean up job, it usually is. xD;; *lazy* Other than that, I worked my butt off on this. Plus my dad and mom are really picky. D:

I may be able to send this card to some of my online friends, so if you're even moderately interested (blank or with my writing/message in it) please let me know! Btw, it's at no cost to you. xD (however it I might only be able to send it to people in teh US)

Process: Drawn on normal xerox paper with a mechanical pencil
scanned at 300 dpi
colored in PhotoshopCS2 at 300 dpi
saved at 25% of original size (although I still have teh large psd file)
Time Spent: at least 7 hours CGing + 2 hours drawing
