Second entry forRound 02 : Russia vs Latvia
Theme : sports, games, tournaments.
Finally got a decent internet cafe here! Thank God!
Hehe I always wanted to draw chess-themed illustration.
Now is the perfect time to apply this theme, since we all know Russia is really good at it!Although it's not turned out exactly what I've imagined, and somehow the more I see it, the more I find something strange with the proportions, I'm quite satisfied with the results. ^ ^

Fantastic symbolism, concept, and style. The flowing clothing, the design of it, and the horse are spectacular. And I can't help but love that no matter what colours he poses, Russia always has that tweak of white in him: the scarf.

This is amazing!! I love the fine detail on the clothing, especially on the fur trim and the front of Russia's coat. It's also interesting how you didn't use shading, but I think it looks cool like that. Great artwork! : D
