so, by your reasoning when I cosplay Rocket Raccoon, I'm also racist because my natural skin tone is not brown fur with black stripes. See the issue here? I would have thought the ears and tail would allude to the fact that Catty Noire (the name in itself should indicate two things: black and cat) is indeed a cat.
Meanwhile, this is a wonderful cosplay and you look adorbs

lol, you're telling me to go away, when you come onto my friend's page, immediately jump the gun because omg black facepaint and cry racism. If she were painted as a tabby cat would you still stand by your argument? A ginger cat? I doubt it. But omg a black cat must be racist. Stop being so ridiculous. If you want to stand up against racism, go and be productive in real life, where there are plenty of racist bigots, instead of spamming a cosplayer's page.

I agree, blackface is offensive. However, as has been reiterated so many times this is not blackface, because the character the cosplayer is representing is not a POC, or even a human. Catty Noire is a BLACK CAT. A FELINE. Felines were not, and are not ostracised, mocked, or enslaved. You don't have any counter arguments to ground your accusation, and repeating yourself, or telling me to 'screw off' (what does that even mean?) does nothing to help present how this can even be percieved as racist. In fact, I racism is restricted to humans and not felines, even anthro felines.
I'm sure that if a black kitty cat took issue with being represented in this way Os Cordis would reconsider her stance, but whilst my cats do enjoy treading over my keyboard I don't envision them to start typing anytime soon. Or bothering with the affairs of humans.

I am cosplaying a black cat not a person of colour, if you are confused about the difference between these two definitions then I would suggest that I am not the racist one.

For centuries, black cats throughout the world have been oppressed, viewed as bad omens; resigned to remain in the shelters while all the ginger and tabby, and even the tortoiseshell kitties around them go to new homes. Won't someone think of the black kitties!
