Anyone that's ever read a comic knows how variable the art is. But that's just me... And any cosplayer who has ever cosplayed a comic character 
Also seems strange to see a comment specifically critiquing without, you know, critiquing. But that's just me.

But you obviously felt compelled enough to make comment about a prop, despite what you just said. Without anything constructive or anything positive to say about the composition of the photo or anything within it. You are well entitled to have an opinion, and voice it, but sometimes those opinions are best left to oneself when they serve no function. I don't believe the artist asked for a critique, and I'm not entirely sure what would motivate someone to just drop a negative criticism without any other comment (or anything positive - comments amazingly can be critical whilst also addressing aspects they did enjoy! Who knew!).
Food for thought yeh. As an artist think of what type of comments you'd appreciate on your artwork

Aww. Okay so she did a spell and it made the staff bigger so she could fit it over the heads of people who annoy her and she could rip out their spines with an artful twist. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
