Description
Supermarine S6B was designed by Reginald Michell specifically for racing in the Shneider Cup, in which it participated and won in 1931. It was the crowning achievement of the entire Supermarine seaplane racers family. I was intending to draw it for a long time, and finally decided to do so for my grandfather's birthday.Related content

Did you know that this is what would eventually become the Spitfire?

That is actually a common misconception. There is no relation in any way between the S6B and the Spitfire; however, it is true that the lessons learned from the S6B were used for the Spitfire (high-speed aerodynamics, engine etc).
