Blue had been given a chance to pitch SoliDerm's research roadmap at the BIG IDEAS conference, which was a meeting that hosted only the smartest and most ingenious thought leaders. This was a significant opportunity to get a lot of buzz going for the products and company, and she didn't want it to be a dud! Blue hired a young intern named Licorice to help her draft her presentation and speech.

Licorice found the subject matter to be quite unusual, but remained interested, as Blue's enthusiasm was quite infectious. A lot of the proposals were very original and indeed compelling. The technology developed for the Alpha implant was going to be commercialized for sale to the general public. This not only meant enormous and durable expander implants, but also a host of other supporting technologies.

The aggregate concept had been dubbed the 'Smart Implant' and had lots of unique selling points.

First, the implant would track its own growth. These analytics would show how many CCs of saline had been added, the fill size, and tons of other information! Women would now have an entire historical record of their breast expansion journey.

Second, the analytical data would be fed into a Machine Learning model which would calculate a variety of information for the user. It could, for example, tell the user that her implants would be full in a certain amount of days. It could help determine what the next size of the implant should be. It could even tell you when to increase the amount of saline you were filling with.

Third, all of the data would be used by a virtual Intelligent Assistant that would help with day-to-day tasks! It could tell you when you needed to fill your implants, or if you needed to schedule doctors appointments. It had a pleasant voice and was modeled after Blue herself, so she could virtually help everyone on their breast expansion journey!

Finally, the entire experience was gamified. You could earn SoliDerm achievements for hitting certain thresholds. These would give you points to purchase things like saline fill-ups and souvenir hats! The implants could also post to social media for you automatically, letting everyone know of your latest milestones!

Blue put on her finest black turtleneck and thick-rimmed glasses. She wanted to be taken seriously. The thought of people dismissing her ideas because they thought she was some kind of dumb bimbo deeply displeased her. She took a deep breath and calmed her nerves. She was now ready.
