My only statement on the matter is this.. why are you watching a kaiju film if your looking for realism

I mean a lizard that got killed by conventional weapons
Made by a man who never took the film seriously
It's overall a film that was fucked over by its maker

break anything down like that and everything sounds less impressive
Kong = monkey falls of house
Jurassic park = lizards in a park
star wars = space World War 2
it's still better than most movies i have seen today, i can't watch modern movies now as they all seem the same and annoying

I never knew Kong was a monkey I thought he was a ape and a milestone of monster movies
And if I recall Jurassic park was a spectacle of genetics
And Star Wars ww2, I mean I am ware that modern Star Wars wishes to paint the empire as Nazi's cause they lost the elections
And I mean a lizard killed by missiles does seem mundane compared needed to create a black hole to contain a superior version
And you can thank politics for the stagnation of Hollywood

and i thought godzilla was an marine iguana but turns out people dislike that one for some reason
true it is a genetic movie but i was just boiling it down to the raw materials
with your logic Godzilla was a wild life awareness movie
oh i said that because the empire is flat out based of WW2 they both have storm troopers to add to it, it's a neat little bit of design comparison
blowing u a lizard with missiles seems a bit much
i will admit the other versions are more creatively insane with their designs and origins
i will also blame lack of creativity and just sort of hopping on trends rather than think of new ideas
not the best with politics so i have no idea how that would effect movies

Zimzilla99 In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-09 23:02:06 +0000 UTC]
They dislike it because
He doesn't have his abilities
Lays eggs
His a indestructible creature
Eat
Actually Godzilla is an analogy for nuclear power not wild life awareness not sure about where you got that
Actually the officers uniforms were made off ww2 German cause of their design, the empire actually resembles Vietnam America and soviet Russia far more
I'm also not aware that blowing up a 60 meter creature is much
And also aside from gmk Godzillas origin has been mundane but that's kinda the point of kaiju they aren't supposed to be realistic
I point to ghostbusters and the new up and coming lord of the flies for my point

i personally like most of them traits
lays eggs isn't THAT bad, didn't he have a kid 1 time... and the new one poops out Godzilla men out its tail?
eat? i feel like that HAS to happen, living things NEED to eat
he is also a personification of the Hiroshima bombing
a surviving genus of dinosaur that sort of kept living
a colossal super predator from the Permian (in a land were wild life wasn't gigantic yet)
and a horrible amalgamation of many organisms crated by nuclear waste that keeps evolving and represents the original more than the others
and in a way 98 also tells us that nuclear weapons aren't good as it can lead to some giant dinosaur monsters
they probably do for all i know, i just remember seeing a lot of parallels between the nazis and the empire
i get it all besides they are realistic in how they look with the large pillar legs and thick build so there is that
never seen the new ghost busters and lord of the flies is getting a film?
now i can watch it and see what the plot is

So you believe there are no such things as characters as they can do anything
Also Godzillas had "kids" not actually offspring
And new Godzilla mutated evolved forms of itself through advanced regeneration
And that Godzilla still had all the key characteristics
Also if your looking for realism then why are you watching a kaiju movie
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No actual 2014 is a creature from a undiscovered period too much trey on the brain
4. No again as shin is a surviving sea reptile
Also if your film is going for realism that why did it evolve a lizard into looking like a Dinosaur
Or why did the torpedoes which were deadlier then missiles that killed him not kill him
And just cause you see parallels and not actually analyzing it you make a judgment
I should also mention that Zilla would die form its own weight, he has broken wrist, the radiation would sterilize him, and would most likely out right kill them

Evodolka In reply to Zimzilla99 [2017-11-10 00:35:15 +0000 UTC]
hmm?
i am cool with characters infact most games i play i stay because of the characters, but with movies that are based of super of things like Godzilla and super heroes is that you CAN have creative freedom with them, not all have to follow the exact same rules and laws as each other, Godzilla 98 just having a very drastic difference
"Also Godzillas had "kids" not actually offspring"
how does that work in this case? surly Godzilla as a living creature must breed and have offspring like every other animal ever
that how it was?
i heard it was a bunch or organisms that were horribly fused together with random biomass and so could absorb people leading to the tail clone thing, i have also heard that there are many theories about its origins like how it was originally some guy who was researching something and BECAME Godzilla
i don't really watch kaiju movies, i just hear so much about them that i kind of learned a bunch of stuff on them
i'm the kind of guy who watches something and tries to see both sides, negative + positive, scientific accuracy and random fun
1. ok
2. ok
3. trey on the brain? i guess i do really like trey from shaman king
4. that mean he is an ancient sea reptile like a plesiosaur? what is shin supossed to be he seems to have like 4 different ideas of what he is
confuses me too to be honest, but it still has some similarities to normal iguanas like the 5 digits, neck crest thing, and colouration, that and it could have been because
A. just coincidence it looks like a theropod which would be neat but hard to believe
B. Jurassic park existed so the creator was like "lets have a T.Rex" which is more likely
with the torpedoes many people see it as it survived was able to regenerate as it didn't hit his throat but my idea is that it DID kill him and that when it comes back it is a 2nd one, it makes sense as at the beginning you see 2 iguanas watching the explosion, and 2 gigantic animals taking turns to find food that would make it seem like there is 1 as there would only be 1 out at 1 time, so when they say "he's pregnant?" they just got the females test results, i see a lot of confusion on that bit but with my thoughts of 2 Godzilla it makes sense
true but that is every kaiju ever with the weight thing
his wrists aren't broken, it is a mutant iguana not a true dinosaur so its wrists are actually ok
and the same can be said with every radioactive things ever, but in movies radiation = super powers
this is a fun chat as i never have a chance to talk about Godzilla 98 that much

Zimzilla99 In reply to Evodolka [2017-11-10 00:46:59 +0000 UTC]
So your also all right with changing characters and not telling this to your audience and giving them something the majority didn't want or were expecting therefore lying to them
But you want video game characters to say the way they are
A creature that mutated by radiation form a bomb that would most likely sterilize it just like the Japanese effected by the bomb but your concerned about a representation of a countries Testament to those horrors breeding cause it would be realistic
That was rumor based on a lack of understanding a line in the sub
Scientific accuracy doesn't have a place a number of places
- fantasy
- science fiction despite attempts to explain things science fiction on the majority is always inaccurate
If you want scientific accuracy go outside and live
I meant trey the explainer also it has never determined what he evolved from
A that's dam big coincide
B a film about dinosaurs or at the very least mutated dinosaur creatures
Also if have a bigger magnitude, if he survived them he should have survived the planes which hit him across the body, also do you have any natural evidence to support that claim
Your argument is also invalid as most radiation based stories aren't changing things for realism

heh?
didn't get that vibe what do you mean?
oh i meant that as a way of saying good characters can hook me in, besides games seem to hot development better as they tend to be longer
yeah the eggs make little sense with the radiation while some eat the stuff, others are just dinosaurs with super powers s those could breed
also i am just saying for an animal that has supposedly existed for millions of years it has to have had children otherwise the species would die out
oh ok then
i know, it's a movie there is BOUND to be fantasy in it, i am just saying it makes more sense to have a giant creature rather than something like shin were it is so big you probably could have seen it from space
also sifi is just that "science fiction"
"If you want scientific accuracy go outside and live"
that a dig at me or was that just saying how we live in reality?
oh yeah i've seen that guy
does some good work
A. i have seen weirder things like crocodilians and prionosuchus, ichthyosaurs and dolphins & snakes and eels
B. exactly
my evidence for the 2 of them thing?
just watch the movie again and think of it as oth the 2 iguanas at the start become godzilla, it explains some loop holes like why he is alive after dying
that is every movie ever though, if you get rid of that bit of fantasy there isn't a movie at all
i really hopei ain;t annoying you with my replys, i get the vibe i am rubbing you the wrong way by trying to say my view on a movie i did enjoy

Godzilla as a creature is a mutation that is near immortal, the longest we have ever seen a Godzilla live on was 50 years and the creature was trapped in a black hole and had shown no signs of aging, one member of a actual Godzilla can survive almost independently
Also if monster movies were just giant realistic creatures then any confrontation would end as soon as it either appeared on land or first military engagements
The creature dies through the laws of physics and gravity
Or the military is successful in its first attempt
I'm saying it's how we live in reality if people want realism go outside and just do something cause films aren't something god said individual
His Godzilla video was pretty shit
1. Despite your claim the Godzilla we saw in the movie came from the egg not the iguanas themselves
2. Why did they not find the creature from either tunneling or from the military surrounding the island
And I'm not annoyed

the whole existing in the permian thing is a bit older than 50 years
also time and space works a lot different in black holes as it is all warped
i know like i said i am not too bothered with realism i just find 98's "animal wanting to live its own life" more realistic than "apex super predator that wants to care for all of humanity and hunts down kaiju like prey even though he never eats them at all"
i don't care if a movie is realistic or not i just always look at things that way sometimes, if a movie is entertaining then i can watch and enjoy it
he made one of those?
oh was it an egg?i don't remember that, i'll keep an eye out on that next time i see it
with the radar thing if it WAS the 2 parents idea then 1 is dead so it wouldn't pop up while the other was deeper on land so why would it pick up the other one,but since it's the egg thing it makes less sense
ok then, nice to know i was getting a vibe i was accidentally annoying

Not only does time and space warped it also pulls you across time and space
As radioactive serves as 2014s source of energy it's role as a key stone predator is predicted on keeping other species in line by killing them not eating them
Also 98 in the sequel would go on to make a nest in Australia and had stayed undetected not to mention Australia is closer to its birth site and it's far more uninhabited and a better place to raise young

Evodolka In reply to Zimzilla99 [2017-11-10 17:02:20 +0000 UTC]
i think that is worm holes
black holes just presumably crush everything to the size of an atom and then explodes
i get that but didn't the other kaiju also feed off radiation... and supposedly live as a parasite off godzillas kind even thought there is no seen bits of parasitism
there is a sequal?
i knew there was a show that i can hardly remember but a sequal movie?

There both presumed theories
Pretty much they only serve as a creature that kept the Godzilla species population in line and worked as a tarantula hawk
It was proposed but never happened the script is on the internet

Evodolka In reply to Zimzilla99 [2017-11-10 17:14:21 +0000 UTC]
1 is the folding of space, the other is a singularity were gravity kicks it into 12th gear
if that is the case then how did the godzilla species breed if radiation = infertility?
heh, this is news to me
