Description
An original piece for a subject taught by derrickSongThis was inspired somewhat by an older painting I made about an immortal girl who guards a burial ground; for this assignment I decided to change up the girl's design and add a few more storytelling elements to the illustration. I definitely could have put more effort into it, I'm actually not a huge fan of how this painting turned out but I guess the fact that I finished it is an achievement in itself.
I might redo it in the future. Here's the older painting in case you're curious:

Damn, this is really cool. The older painting is definitely cute and eerie but I like how this one really captures the threatening presence about her while still seeming pretty cute and all. Good stuff and congrats on your graduation. <3

I love the design of her it's really unique. She's a guardian yet has a very threatening and evil aspect which is something that a guardian should be like, especially if they are suppose to protect something from thieves and people snooping around. This is great and will look forward to it being redone even if I think is gorgeous as it is.

I'm so glad you like it! I think it's nice to create characters which are ambiguous in that way, because you can't really label anyone as good or evil; everyone has something important to them and they'll do different things to protect that. :] Sometimes that means doing something bad, but it doesn't make someone evil right?
