Ah, the composition! The bridge and cars on the bridge make a line that draws the eye into the horizon, which everyone is heading towards and traffic is getting more congested as it goes. Almost like there's something really important going on, but the viewer is left behind. How sad.
The shadow is nice as well, starting in the opposite corner and subtly leading you into the picture, before converging with the line of the bridge.
The only complaint or problem i might find is how washed out the sky became. The pure white is distracting without something to balance it out.

But it is also the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge, the first mast of bridge leads form oakland to treasure island I do believe.
The second one is from treasure island, going into San Francisco, which is the one in the picture.
