Description
First discovered by misfortunate Earth troops pursuing demonic resistance members to the infernal wilds, the spectral fiend answered the mystery of the gorefiend's origins. These wild demonic beasts are anatomically very similar to the domestic gorefiend but considerably larger and covered in thick armored skin. What makes them truly stand out and gives them their infamy is their ability to hide in plain sight. The skin and exposed mucous membranes of the spectral fiend are covered in chromatophores that change its colour to match its surroundings within seconds, allowing the beast to blend in with its surroundings, especially in low light conditions. While capable of easily outrunning a human, spectral fiends prefer to quietly stalk their prey only charging in at close proximity when there is nothing standing between them and their kill.

Made in Sculptris. I was inspired to recreate my old Harmageddon sketches in 3D after Doom Eternal came out. The setting was after all inspired by the 90's original Doom game.
