Description
A rough WIP redesign of King Kong I was forced to give up on last year until my hands heal. I was going for a King Kong that is closer in size and general appearance to the original 1933 version, just big enough to look a Tyrannosaurus in the eyes, but no larger. The model obviously lacks any hair.I'm sharing this here in its unfinished form because I already revealed it to the Speculative Evolution group on fb.
Edit: Decided to change the latin name from R. kongi (which made no sense) to R. kong.

Thanks! I did, though I'm not sure if the epithet makes much sense. Maybe Regipithecus kong would work better?

Sorry for the long reply. That's interesting, I'd actually been meaning to mention how it reminded be that I have a natural history book of Skull Island that came out back when Peter Jackson's film came out. In that Kong's Latin name is "Megaprimatus kong".
