I heard you liked paleoart and speculative zoology, so I put some paleoart in this speculative zoology.

The Late Cretaceous mosasaur Clidastes compared to the Holocene mosasaurs of Spec. I've been meaning to do this comparison image since I made the Clidastes 3D reconstruction, but there's been so, so very much getting in the way of my plans in the last few years I only got to it now.

Clidastes, one of the earliest properly marine-adapted mosasaurs, was around 3-4 meters long. The saurocetes aren't strictly speaking to scale, they are here just to represent the varying morphologies of the more derived lizardwhales, especially the increasingly thunniform saurocetines like the molfin.
