I want to know more about Kisame. Specifically how and why does he look the way he does? Like, is it a clan trait or just him?

Sadly its not really revealed, all of the 7 swordsman though seem to have sharp shark like teeth.
Most people assume hes mutated/clan trait and the clan just was killed off.
But hes the only canon to exsist this way we ever saw.
